Baseball, Horses, Caves, and Bourbon

In no particular order of course. We add a new state and a celebrate Thanksgiving in Kentucky.  We spent our Thanksgiving hiking in caves.  From hiking caves, viewing a horse race at Churchill Downs, seeing how baseball bats were made and tasting some of the Kentucky Bourbon, we journeyed into the state of Kentucky and just scratched the surface of what this beautiful state has to offer. We jammed backed our 2 weeks here. Join us for our reviews of the western part of Kentucky. We will be back to visit the eastern part soon.

Home this Week – Cicero, Indiana

We have arrived in Indiana. A new state to add to our list.  We are excited to be here.  We are going to visit a few places while we are in Southern Indiana.  The State Capital, Indy Race Track Museum and the Harrison Presidential Site.  We are staying at the White River Campground and it is right on the river.  It is beautiful here and the weather is great.  We are not to far out of town so grocery shopping is easy.  We head to Elkhart on Sunday for work to be done on bus. Stay tuned for our blog posts on our progress with Thor Motorcoach.

A little fun…

Besides Field Trip Friday’s and exploring on the weekends, to pass time while we work, we like to have a little fun.  This week it just happen to be Izzy’s turn to be our muse.

She is having a tough time eating, sleeping, and getting around.  She seems to use her eyes to bring us in to care for her just a little more than usual.  She is our little Martian and is doing much better.  Amber said she looks like an ice cream cone and all we need is the ice cream.  Her prognosis is looking great.

Home This Week – Missouri

Almost a year ago we set out on a journey that would take all over the United States.  We have visited 19 states and many different places of interest.  We are moving fairly quickly these past few weeks to get to an appointment that we have in Elkhart, IN.  Part of our journey is picking our places to call home for a week or so.  This week we are in Danville, MO.  Between Columbia, MO and St, Louis, MO.

We have a few places we are planning on visiting.  The capital in Jefferson City, the Gateway Arch, and Grant Home.  We plan to have some St. Louis BBQ.

Crazy in Santo, Texas

We got a little Crazy in Santo, Texas.  Where the heck is Santo Texas and why is this place so significant?  Well, it’s located halfway between Dallas/Fort Worth and Abilene. The Coffee Creek RV Resort is a 15 minute drive to Mineral Wells, Texas, home of Crazy Water Mineral Well and the Baker Hotel. We thought we landed in middle of nowhere and we worried that we would have nothing to see or do – we were wrong and loved every minute of being here.  One of our favorite places to setup for a few weeks.

Among the Roses in the City of Tyler, Texas

Periodically, we call a new city home.  For two weeks we stopped to smell the roses in Tyler, Texas.  There are no major highways that flow through it nor is there a major downtown area like Orlando, but what it has is a lot of charm and the locals were kind and welcoming. This city has a homey feel that we have fallen in love with and we would settle down here if we did not enjoy traveling so much.
