This week we sent out 6 postcards to friends and family. We love sending out a personal note to say “Hi” and let them know we are thinking of them. We love having new friends to send cards to, let us know by sending your address and your birth day(MM/DD only).
National Historic Site – President Grant
Along with National Parks, there is also Historic Sites, Rivers, Beaches, Trails, Memorials and others. Having the America the Beautiful pass allows us access to different venues where there is a fee.
While we were in St. Louis we found a Historic Site of Former President Ulysses S Grant. White Haven, the historical site of Ulysses S Grants which commemorates his life as a general and president. This is also the childhood home of his wife, Julia Dent Grant.
Thor Motor Coach Warranty Work – Part 1
We are currently in Elkhart, Indiana getting our home warranty items taken care of. Even with a stick and brick home, there are always issues that need to be taken care of, whether it be under warranty or not. Today is day three and we have already seen amazing results. Thor Motor Coach has really gone above and beyond to make sure we stay comfortable and informed on what they are doing.

Home this Week – Cicero, Indiana
We have arrived in Indiana. A new state to add to our list. We are excited to be here. We are going to visit a few places while we are in Southern Indiana. The State Capital, Indy Race Track Museum and the Harrison Presidential Site. We are staying at the White River Campground and it is right on the river. It is beautiful here and the weather is great. We are not to far out of town so grocery shopping is easy. We head to Elkhart on Sunday for work to be done on bus. Stay tuned for our blog posts on our progress with Thor Motorcoach.

It’s Dinner Time…
Being on the road almost a year now, we have eaten at many different local restaurants throughout. We usually ask the RV park staff to start on where to go. We have been going to our Facebook Groups and ask their recommendations as well. They give all different eateries that we have to pick a chose which ones we will visit. We use these recommendations for family dinner night or even a date night. It is always fun to get the first impression and order something that sounds good all while walking away full and wanting more. Sometimes, if we have time, we will go back twice!
We have a small list of our favorites. These are in no particular order. We can’t rank them because they all have their own unique menu.

One of the 60 National Park from the National Park Service. We were able to visit the first National Park – Yellowstone. It does not measure up to what a picture can capture. It seems so surreal that you really have to see this park in person. We were advised not to try to do everything in one day. They were right. We still have not finished seeing the whole park. This is one stop that we will be back to see more of its awe inspiring greatness.

A Real Vacation – Alaskan Cruise
People think that we are already on some sort of vacation. We have heard from others that they feel the same way. We work and school on the road during the week and there is really no time for a vacation. We live normal lives of working and exploring on a daily basis and we have to build real vacations into our routine. Sometimes, this is really difficult because we travel so much. But we made it happen.
We started cruising several years ago to vacation as a family and take a break from our electronics. We have been to the Caribbean several times, Mexico and Honduras. Where we really wanted to go to was Alaska. Now that we live in a RV and we can take it with us, we could drive there, but we decided when we were in Las Vegas, to book a cruise for September to cruise out of Seattle.

Besides Field Trip Friday’s and exploring on the weekends, to pass time while we work, we like to have a little fun. This week it just happen to be Izzy’s turn to be our muse.
She is having a tough time eating, sleeping, and getting around. She seems to use her eyes to bring us in to care for her just a little more than usual. She is our little Martian and is doing much better. Amber said she looks like an ice cream cone and all we need is the ice cream. Her prognosis is looking great.

Home This Week – Missouri
Almost a year ago we set out on a journey that would take all over the United States. We have visited 19 states and many different places of interest. We are moving fairly quickly these past few weeks to get to an appointment that we have in Elkhart, IN. Part of our journey is picking our places to call home for a week or so. This week we are in Danville, MO. Between Columbia, MO and St, Louis, MO.
We have a few places we are planning on visiting. The capital in Jefferson City, the Gateway Arch, and Grant Home. We plan to have some St. Louis BBQ.
